Our Vision as SAKKMVP

We envision a South Africa that honors, empowers, and fully includes veterans and Indigenous peoples in the nation's progress.

We strive to secure comprehensive pension reforms to guarantee lifelong financial security for all veterans, alongside specialized healthcare services that address trauma, PTSD, and the unique challenges of military service. Through tailored housing programs, we will ensure dignity and stability for veterans and their families.

Our vision extends to national recognition, with memorials, commemorative events, and education campaigns that preserve the sacrifices of veterans while uplifting the proud heritage of the Khoi, San, Nama, and Griqua peoples as the First Indigenous Peoples of South Africa. We will champion land restitution, ancestral territory protection, and cultural preservation, safeguarding languages, traditions, and traditional leadership.

We seek to empower Indigenous communities with representation in governance at both local and national levels, ensuring their voices shape policy and development. By contesting municipal elections, we will reform service delivery, drive transparent budgeting, fight corruption, and uphold community-driven development plans rooted in local needs.

Our vision includes economic empowerment through job creation initiatives for veterans and Indigenous youth, expanded vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and mentorship programs. We will invest in infrastructure development and food security projects, from agricultural cooperatives to equitable land access, ensuring no community is left behind.

We are committed to correcting the historic exclusions of the 1994 settlement by advocating for reparations, compensation, and legislative remedies for displaced and neglected communities. By working with legal and academic institutions, we will document injustices and push for systemic change.

Above all, our vision is one of reconciliation, truth, and nation-building. Through inclusive dialogue and platforms for truth-telling, we will heal the wounds of the past and create a future of dignity, justice, and unity for all South Africans.
