On the 4th of October 2025, the quiet community of Platfontein will come alive with history in the making. It will be the day the SAKK Military Veterans Party (SAKKMVP) officially launches its program — a movement born from sacrifice, resilience, and the unwavering spirit of South Africa’s veterans and Indigenous peoples.
Platfontein, home to many veterans and their families, was chosen with purpose. It stands as a symbol of heritage, culture, and the struggles faced by those who served yet were too often forgotten. On this day, the air will carry the sound of marching footsteps, unity songs, and the voices of leaders who will declare a new vision: one of dignity, recognition, and opportunity for all veterans and First Indigenous Peoples.
The program will outline bold steps — pension reform, specialized healthcare, housing development, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation. But more than policies, it will carry a message of hope: that those who gave everything for the nation will no longer be left behind.
As the sun sets on Platfontein that evening, the launch will mark not just the beginning of a political program, but the rise of a people’s movement. From this small community, the call will echo across South Africa.
On 6 September 2025, party members held a Visibility and Recruitment Drive in Knoffolkskraal, Western Cape. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen community presence, raise awareness, and engage with local residents.
